It was an honour and a pleasure for Carryduff GAC to host the Ulster LGFA Regional Féile for under 15-year-old girls on Saturday July 1st at Páirc Aodha Dhuibh. Eight Clubs, with squads of twenty-six players each, from six different Counties took part. All squads were welcomed to the ground in a welcoming parade, and over two hundred girls enjoyed competitive football on the day. All were a credit to both themselves and their Clubs for the spirit in which the games were played. It was a most enjoyable day for all concerned.
A massive thank you to all our volunteers on the day. To our Referees for giving up their day and ensuring that all games were played in a fair and timely manner. To all who did so much preparatory work to ensure that the day was planned meticulously. To all who helped on the day, in whatever way, to ensure that the plan was delivered. A big thank you to our sponsors for providing the hamburgers Hilary White and the sausages Burger buns were donated by Mulgrews Eurospar food hall! A particular thank you to our chef Phil Waring , who manned the barbecue single handedly all day. And congratulations to our winners on the day, Liatroim, who were victorious in the Shield competition, and Carryduff who were the winners of the Cup.
A wonderful day was had by all.
