The U14 hurlers took part in the Ulster Feile today at woodlands playing fields. We started by playing Buncrana and gained a hard fought win coming from behind at half time to win by 2 points. This was followed by a defeat to St John’s meaning we finished second in the group.
We played the winners of group 2 in the quarter finals of the cup competition who were Carndonagh. The Carryduff lads really turned up for this one putting in the best display of the day with some great fielding all round and excellent support play throughout the team. We finished the quarter final with a great win and started to look forward to the semi finals. We played Brid Og and in a low scoring game with the intense heat of the day we ended with defeat by 2 points.
The team had a great day at a very well run Ulster Feile and with a different run of the ball we could have found ourselves in the final of the cup.
