In the annual trip to the Hurling Semi-Final, 70 parents and children from the U-11.5 and U-9.5 hurling teams of Carryduff GAC embarked on a trip to Croke Park. Croker was set to host to an intense showdown between Clare and Kilkenny.
From the very beginning, it was evident that the match would be a tightly contested affair. Both teams displayed their exceptional skills, leaving the children, sitting on the edge of their seats. They were captivated by the fast-paced action unfolding before them.
In the second half Clare launched a furious comeback, determined to overturn the deficit they faced. Their spirited performance ignited the crowd, creating an electric atmosphere. However, Kilkenny held on firmly, displaying their pedigree.
As we returned home, the bus was filled with conversations about the match. The journey to Croke Park had provided an opportunity to witness the beauty and intensity of hurling at its finest.
