Halloween Disco

On Monday 30th October 2023, Carryduff GAC hosted a frightfully fantastic Halloween disco night for our juvenile members from P1-Year 8.

The parish hall was turned into a Halloween Haven, decorated throughout with all things spooky and enchanting. We had 325 children attend and over 50 volunteers, all in spectacular costumes ranging from Skeletons, Zombie GAA players, Superheroes, Aliens, Grim Reepers, Zombie Cheerleaders, Barbies, Clowns, Pirates, an NFL Player, scary witches and more. The dance floor was full for the two hours, with a lively music set from DJ Ally McCullagh and a spectacular lighting display. The room was alive and bouncing with excited children jumping, dancing and laughing. Our Club Mascots Duffy and Happy made their way through the crowds and handed out Spot Prizes to the kids, kindly sponsored by Funtastic and Spar. The Tuck Shop and Glow Stick Stall never stopped, with the sweet treats adding to the magic of the night.

We had a raffle with fantastic prizes including Sports Hampers, Club Gear, Vouchers, Hurls, Footballs and much more. This was only made possible thanks to our generous sponsors: Nimbus, Reynolds Hurling, Love Pizza and Tesco.

The Halloween Disco has been a spectacular end to a wonderful season for our juvenile members this year on and off the field. It was an absolute joy to watch the children have so much fun with their friends they have met through our club.

Thank you to our Social Codes for organizing this night for the club, and to all those helped in any way in the lead up to the disco and on the night. There were special memories made for the kids this Halloween.
