Carryduff Hurlers vs Ballyvarley 03/04/2017

Carryduff Senior hurlers travelled to Ballyvarley on Monday evening for a 6.45 pm throw in . They commanded the game from the start and got off to a scoring start in the 6th minute with a great point from play by Aidan McManus who went on to score in the 10th & 15th minute later in the game . By that stage Carryduff was 10 points up with Lorcan McCaughy scoring a beautiful goal and a point from play followed by 2 from frees ,Gareth Lynch also 3 points from play and James Lavery scoring a long range point from play. Gareth Lynch went on to score a further 3 points in the first half ,Lorcan McCaughy a further 3 points & James Lavery scored the final point of the half on the blow of the whistle for the first half . (Half time score Ballyvarley 0-0 Carryduff 1-17)
Second half started with Carryduff scoring a well worked goal being sent to the back of the net by Ciaran Rodgers followed by a very swift point by Lorcan McCaughy . Ballyvarley didn’t score until the 42nd minute of the game but was answered by Lorcan again who went on to score a further 3 points two from play and a long range free . James Lavery scoring 1 more point before the final whistle .
