Sport Lisburn & Castlereagh has launched its nomination process for the prestigious 2024 Sports Awards. The aim of the awards is to recognise the wealth of sporting talent of individuals and teams, residing or based, in the Lisburn and Castlereagh area.
Sponsored by Draynes Farm, the awards evening will take place at a ceremony at La Mon Hotel & Country Club on Friday 15 November. The event will focus on the sporting achievements of individuals and teams either through direct participation in sport or contributions as a coach or administrator.
Nomination categories are now open for the Sports Club of the Year, Sports Coach of the Year, Senior Sports Team of the Year, Junior Sports Team of the Year, School Team of the Year, Junior Sports Personality of the Year, Senior Sports Personality of the Year and Sportsperson with a Disability of the Year and Disability Sports Team of the Year.
Launching the 2024 Sports Awards was Councillor Jonathan Craig, Chairman of the Communities and Wellbeing Committee, visually impaired archer, Tony Barclay MBE, disability golfer Mark Clougherty and Jimmy Walker, Chairperson of Sport Lisburn & Castlereagh.
