Carryduff U14 hurlers took on Warrenpoint on friday evening in our first Division 2 league match. After playing each other last weekend in the Feile the two teams were well up for the game.

The Carryduff team started strongly in the first half and kept Warrenpoint in there own half taking some great scores from play from Liam Blaney and a goal from Darragh McMeel. The team battled well throughout the first half with some great hurling on display from both sides.

The second half was a similar affair with a couple of goals from Niall Murray and high catch and score from Ryan sherry in midfield. The lads continued to takes their scores throughout the second half with Oran Mcmeel getting a number of scores and Oran Donaldson firing over from long range. There was also some tenacious tackling right across the pitch from Ronan Kelly and David Morrissey and others which set the tone for the game.

A really good display and win which bodes well for the rest of the campaign.

Carryduff 7-11 Warrenpoint 1-03
