The U16 hurlers travelled to Warrenpoint on what was a glorious Sunday morning and whilst a massive improvement in performance was seen they unfortunately suffered a single point defeat. Warrenpoint started the more spritely and took an early 2-02 to 0-00 lead.
Carryduff started a great comeback and went in at the break 4-01 to 3-02 ahead.
The second half was hugely competitive and despite a further 2-02 being scored by Carryduff the Warrenpoint lads racked up 1-07, stealing the winning point in the dying minutes of the game.
All in all a great performance and plenty to be pleased about.
Finally, on mothering Sunday a special word of thanks to all the mums as this did take a large part of the day out for the away fixture to Warrenpoint.
