The history of GAA clubs in County Down

September 4th, 2017 | Club notes

A working group has been working extensively diligently pulling together a book outlining the history of GAA clubs in County Down.
This extensive history includes not only existing clubs within the County but significant input in relation to clubs that previously existed and have either amalgamated or ceased to exist over the years.

Orders can be made for hardback copies of this publication at a pre-publication cost of £25. Once released to general sale paperback copies of the book will retail at £25.
Profits from the sale of the book will be donated to the Southern Area Hospice.

Those purchasing copies in advance of the books publication will be acknowledged in the final publication.

Not only will the publication be a fantastic reference that will bring back many memories for the older amongst us but will also be very informative for the younger amongst us of how the GAA was promoted and developed in a county with a proud and distinguished history across the decades.

What’s more – you just never know who you might see in there!!!

If you are interested in ordering a copy in advance, please drop your name and contact details to by 12.00 noon on Sunday 10 September 2017.
